On 20 June 1943, he arrives in New York on-board S.S. OGNA. He had signed on in Montevideo on 13 May 1943 as had Hans Johan Gilje Birkeland. They are both discharged in New York and is later enlisted in the Royal Norwegian Air Force camp "Little Norway" in Toronto, Canada. According to my information he hold the rank of Private.
