9 A/C took off on armed road recce of roads N of Rome. Much scattered movement was observed moving Soutwards particularly on main and secondary roads from VITERISO and TERM, also from AVEZZANO to ARCE and along coast road ORBETTOLO-CERVETERI. Transport on these roads were attacked including 20 M/T S of TERNI where 2 direct hits where reported and a bridge believed damaged. Direct hits on transport were scored by low height straffing on coast road near CIVITAVECCHIA. Ground ... included 14 S/L's coning at ISOLA plus accurate H.F: from 4-5 guns, also S/L's and H.F. at PONTACORVO. Green ... lights observed from an A/D W of VITERBO. There was haze up to a considerable height but no cloud oveer area though a patch of 10/10 at 9,000' in GAETA ...
