Armed Recco of Roads on 5th Army Front. 12 a/c took off, one returned early [Henrichsen] owing to intercom trouble. Weather was excellent except for scattered mist patterns, in low lying parts covering particularly ROME-AVEZZANO-ROAD. Main movement was S.E.'wards on FRESINONE-ROME-ROAD where at first 100+ M/T were observed and bombed in VALMONTONE area, later slightly scattered M/T observed and the A/C which patrolled at dawn [Henrichsen] observed no movement. Transport and lights in many positions were bombed & m/gunned also the remains [?] of an A/D at G.0632. Opporsition: HF from square at F9768; 3-4 HF from CASSINO; 7 S/L centered at VALMONTONE
