Details
To bomb camps and MT between SIDI HANIESH and DABA. Aircraft took off at intervals of 10 minutes going out to sea and approaching target from the NORTH. One aircraft bombed LG 08 MARSA MATRUH. Bombs seen to explode […] dispersed aircraft. Second aircraft attacked concentration of MT SOUTH of FUKA ROAD starting one fire. Remaining three aircraft attacked Camp Site at MARTEN BAGUSH where a further two fires were started, one of which continued to burn for some time with intermittent explosion. All fires confirmed by neighbouring Squadron. Heavy and light A/A as well as searchlights were seen in MATRUH area. Aircraft experienced light A/A when over SIDI HANIESH. Bombing took place from between 6000 and 8000 ft. All aircraft returned safely.
