Ramrod 174. The Wing was to act as Forward Target Supports on this operation. Major K. Birksted, D.F.C., was leading the the Wing which climbed from base and swept Gravelines, Merville (1117 hours), Roulers, Ypres, Lens then out by Calais at 24-26,000 feet. The Wing was under Appledore control, but there is nothing to report. Weather:- Clear. Ground haze. Visibility good.
