Details
12 a/c from 331 Sqdn. together with 332 Sqdn. escorted Flying Fortresses over France. 2 e/a were seen near Ostend and 2 more e/a over Lille, but well below the bombers. 2 Focke Wolfe 190's, after the bombing, dived from above headon almost vertically through the wing and down inland, when blue section 331 turned headon to them. All landed safely at 1310 hours.
