Hans Mikkelsen Uldall
(1875 - 1956)
Profile
Hans Mikkelsen Uldall is naturalized in Canada in 1942. His profession is stated as "pilot". I have very little information on him, and I am uncertain about his relation to RCAF on the basis of his age, but has included him in this list.
Hans Mikkelsen Uldall is born on 4 Marts 1875 in Sønder Bjert in Denmark. He is the son of farmer Hans Mikael Uldall and Else Marie Uldall (née Jørgensen). [1]
He arrives with his wife and daughter in New York from Hamburg on-board SS BLÜCHER on 4 November 1908. [2]
On 27 November 1908 he signs a Declaration of Intention in the Western District of Washington. This was the first step to become U.S. Citizen. There is no record of him ever filing a naturalization petition, though. [3]
On 31 January 1920 he arrives in New York on-board the vessel E. D: KINGSLEY. He is master of the ship. Nationality is given as "Brit Nat / Denmark", which could indicate, that he had been naturalized British Citizen by then. [4]
According the the Canada Gazette, he is naturalized on 19 August 1942. Occupation given as “Pilot”. He is therefore presumed in RCAF service. [5]
He dies in Vancoucer, B.C., on 30 October 1956. [6]
