Carl Mogens Heiner Kristensen

(1914 - 1940)

Carl Mogens Heiner Kristensen is born on 28 February 1914. He joins the Army before the Second World War. He is trained as pilot and gets his wings in 1938 (pilot's certificate 223/38). [1]

He is appointed Sekondløjtnant (2nd Lieutenant) on 9 October 1939. [2]

Volunteers for the Finish Air Force

When Finland entered the Winter War in November 1939, C.M.H. Kristensen volonteers for the Finnish Air Force.

On 29 February 1940, he is shot down over the town of Ruokolahti in his Gloster Gladiator ('GL-259'). [3]
