Details
12 a/c led by Major Gran, D.F.C., took off from base to provide top cover to 24 Michells bombing fuel dumps near Fontainbleu. One of our a/c had to return after 10 min. flying as the droptank fell off. The escort was uneventful. Moderate acc. heavy flak south of Paris. All a/c returned to base.
