Ramrod 898. With 15 min. intervals the 3 squadrons of the Wing took off to bomb R.R. installations at Le Treport docks. 11 Spitfire IX L.F. of this squadron took off at 0935 hours, but owing to unsuitable weather over target they returned, without releasing the bombs, at 1105 hours to Tangmere; the bombs were unloaded there. They arrived at base at 1220 hours. The weather was haze, inaccurate flak. Ramrod 898.
