D.D.905. Armed recce Galdern-Enschede-Zwolle-Arnhem. 6 a/c of 331 Sqdr. took part in this operation operating in 2 section of 3 a/c. First a/c was airborne at 16.25 hrs. but one of the a/c returned early due to mechanical trouble. This section found no movement at all and returned all to base without incident. The next section damaged a Met. Near Goor. They also spotted a large column of motor transport along the road N.E. from Humelo [?]. The column which was stationary was effectively cancelled by the trees along wide the road and was stretching over a distance of 200 yds. It was strafed by one of our a/c but no result was observed due to intense flak. However all our a/c returned safely to base.
