D.D.605. Fighter sweep RHEINE-ENSCHEDE (to engage fighters returning to their base from interception of allied heavies.) 12 Spits of 331 Sqdr took off from base led by capt Grundt-Spang D.F.C. and Bar to sweep the RHEINE-EMS[?]-ENSCHEDE area in search for enemy aircraft. Operation was however localy hampred by low cloud and no activity was observed either in the air or on the ground. The Squadron returned to base without incident.
