Ramrod 1433. 12 Spitfire IX LF (90 gallon tanks) took off to act as Fighter Sweep in conjunction with 100 Halifaxes bombing Saarbrucken. They were to have landed at Ursel en route, but owing to bad weather the Squadron was recalled shortly after being airborne, and so landed back at base at 10.50.
