2202/2210 A/B North Coates and proceeded to Dutch Coast to contact Wellington C/415.
2257/2302 Flame floats were sighted to W of N end of Texel and orbitted. Flares were too high for 'D' to see convoy nor could 'O' locate it. 'G' saw it too indistinctly to attack and although 'R' was similerly places pilot fired torpedo. No result was seen of this attack. Enemy A/c appeared to be in the vicinity. 'O' saw A/C lights approaching head on from east and took evasive action. No flak from C/V and E/A did not open fire.
