Details
The Squadron, led by S/Ldr. H.C. Rigby, D.F.C., bombed and strafed self-propelled guns in a wood N. of Baarle Nassau. All bombs fell in the target area but overshot slightly due to wind. There was moderate flak and W/O A. Cooper was hit while strafing, but managed to land at Antwerp.

222 Sqn ORB Form 540 records that "F/O N.J.Buchwald returned with starboard mainplane "bent upwards"." ORB records the a/c as PT443, which is not a valid Spitfire serial. Most likely PT943.
