The primary target, MANNHEIM, was attacked and bombed from 16,500-ft. at 2205 hours. Weather conditions: Clear, with slight haze or smoke. The target was identified by red, yellow, and green T.I.'s, bombs being dropped on two green T.I.'s in bombsight. Scattered fires seen in target area, and a pall of smoke in Southern part of town. Nickels were dropped. Photografic failure due to fires and smoke.
