The Mission [target BERLIN] was abandonned at North End of TEXEL at 2206 hours at height of 15,000-ft. Aircraft was 5,000-ft. below height and unable to gain height, the two starboard and port inner engines already being too high a temperature. Bombs: 4 SBC's were jettisoned at 5310N 0230E at 14,800-ft. at 2140 hours, and one 4000 lb. at 5305N 0458E at 15,000-ft. at 2207 hours, the being brought back. Aircraft returned to BASE at 2306 hours.
