Patrol in RHEINEBERG area. 12 a/c took off from base to patrol Rheinberg area, in advance of an attack by medium bombers and afterwards to split up in sections and carry out armed recces in the battle area. First part of the operation was carried out without incident, but the sqdr. was recalled before proceeding with armed recces, due to unfavourable weather. Some heavy flak was met with in the Arnhem area but all out a/c returned safely to base.
