12 a/c led by Major Gran took off from base to act as withdrawal and target cover for Lancasters and Mosquitos bombing Noball target near St. Omer-Nunce. Escort uneventful. Bombing results not observed owing to clouds. Moderate acc. was experienced. All out a/c returned safely to base.
