Ramrod 949. The squadron led by Capt. Westly E, took off on Ramrod 949 at 1530 hours. They crossed in the French coast at St. Valery en Caux at 12,000 ft., attacking the target from W. to E. 12 bombs were seen to drop in target area where all buildings were ruined, including the one situated most westerly, having an areal mounted on the roof. They crossed out the French coast at 4,000 ft No enemy opposition over target, but on the way back meagre, inaccurate, light and heavy flak. There were haze up to 6,000 ft. Visibility was very good. All returned safely to base at 1635 hours.
