Ramrod 905. 4 Spitfires IX L.F., led by Lt. Rønhof, took off at 0924 hours on Ramrod 905. They crossed the French coast at Pointe de la Percee at 13,000 ft. At Le Beny Bocage station one locomotive and 6 cargo cars were attacked at 1002 hours by 2 a/c. At St. Martin des B. 4 a/c attacked one locomotive, 12 freight cars, one small and one large camouflaged army car at 1006 hours. This locomotive was attacked 4 times by all aircraft. None of above mentioned subjects were moving at the time of attack. Our planes crossed out the French coast at Cap de Carteret at 200 ft. at 1025 hours and landed safely at base at 1110 hours. Weather was 9/10ths cloud at 2,000 to 4,000 ft.; very hazy and poor visibility. Ramrod 905.
