Ramrod 795. The Squadron took off at 0830 hrs. on a Ramrod 795, close Escort to Marauders. Bombers returned over coast. Spitfires continued as sweep. One hit by flak, managed to land at Manston unhurt. No e/a seen. Int. heavy and acc. flak over Furness. At 10.50 hrs. the Squadron returned to base. Weather was 7/10ths. cloud. Vis. 5 - 6 miles.
