Details
Owing to the shortage of petrol this aircraft was unable to reach primary target. Bombed Wesselburen at at 2130 hours, at 13,000 feet. Heading 025°(M), I.A.S. 150 m.p.h. Dropped 4,000 pund bomb on target and a direct hit was observed - smoke shot to 8,000 feet. Returned to Topcliffe.
