Details
Second wave detailed and attacked visually at 2147 at a height of 14,500 feet, heading 065° N. Encountered single engine enemy aircraft in target area at 2145 burning orange light in nose, 1,000 feet below on port quarter. Enemy aircraft approached and "R" made a steep diving turn to port. Lost sight and no attack. Landed at Topcliffe.
