Eleven Bostons and crews made a total of 13 sorties on armed recco N of ROME. Very many less lights observed on roads than on previous nights. Moon was bright for the first part of night and M/T lights were being turned off. Movement was mainly south to ROME with some northern trend from VITERBO. There were signs also of activity at S. STEFANO harbour. Transport at many points was bombed and straffed and flamers were claimed. Weather was fine with slight haze. No flak. 26 x 500 lb & 208 x 40 lb. G.P. bombs were dropped.
