Details
Seven a/c were briefed to recce roads N.E. of ROME but after a report of bad weather conditions from the first a/c which bombed S of FERRENTINO with observed results, a recall was sent to the three a/c at the time airborne and they returned without bombing. Three a/c briefed for above target were re-briefed to join three a/c on recco from PESCARA-FANO bombing S. BENEDETTO when a coaster was seen and obtaining direct hits on rly at FANO and near MONTE SILVANO. There was 10/10 cloud in the west and weather conditions were also very bad in the east where rainstorms and lightning were encountered. HF from CEPRANO; no opposition in the east. 14 x 500 lb. & 112 x 40 lbs. bombs dropped.
