Seven a/c took off on armed reconnaissance of roads N of ROME.

The main movement seen was from CIVITA CASTELLANA S of ROME, and Southward on the road VETRALLA-MONTEROSI-ROME. There was light activity from ORVIETO to MONTEFIASCONE and Northwards from RIRTO to TERNI. Again ... seen on the coast road to ORBATELLO... from TARQUINA to VETRALLA.

Transports was ... heading eastwards through VETRALLE & bright flashes were seen (amplified) and direct hits amongst M/T were recorded on TERNI-ROME road. ... strafed at S.LORENSO (A.2856) [San Lorenzo]. M/T was straffed and one was hit N of VITREBO. Weather was good and cloudless. Opposition negligible.
