4 a/c on a weather and armed recce along FRANCO-ITALIAN border. FLAK: light, scant and inaccurate experienced from (O)1020 and (T)1092. Some light accurate flak was experienced from (S)9387. The Patrol attacked a small tank moving N. from (O)1020. Strikes were observed. Two 3-ton lorries filled with troops were also attacked at (T)1292 and (S)9588. Damage was caused to both trucks and some troops were presumably killed in the concentration of fire. A bus was damaged at (O)1827. WEATHER: vis. poor; cloud: thick layer from ground level up to 4,000ft.; 10/10 cumulus 4,000-10,000ft.; clear along coastal strip.
