Details
12 a/c on Fighter sweep in the TORINO-PAVIA area. FLAK: Nil. WEATHER: visibility very good. Along with the PO VALLEY 6/10-7/10 cumulus cloud 16,000-18,000ft. In the Gulf of Genoa there was 8/10 low cloud, top 6,000 ft. west of Torino streching south to the Alps. There was 6-7/10 cumulus cloud, base 18,000-20,000ft. extending to a top of 20,000ft. A submarine was seen to crash-dive at P1409, being at first mistaken for an a/c and later identified as a submarine.
