12 a/c airborne on escort of 24 A20's attacking a munitions dump at Q636700. FLAK: heavy, intense and accurate from S. CASCIANO-LASTRA and LASTRA-PALAIA, in a corridor. A large column of smoke was seen to rise from the target. 1 a/c developed engine trouble and successfully landed at a landing strip near CECINA. WEATHER: visibility 50 miles; NIL cloud.
