Details
12 a/c airborne on escort of 24 B26's attacking a railbridge at CREMONA. WEATHER: visibility 50 miles; 2/10 cloud stato cum. 4,000 ft. at SESTRI LEVANTI. 1 destroyed coaster vessel of 150ft. was observed and 4 x 50ft. barges. An ineffective smokescreen was omitted, purporting to cover the target. A runway camoflaged in green and dark brown was seen at L2587, constructed from N-S. 4 a/c were seen on it, also a glass strip running from E-W., at the same place.
