12 a/c airborne on a sweep in the LEGHORN-PISTOIA-FLORENCE area. At Q6380 a convoy of 20 trucks was sighted. This was attacked and the following results obtained: F/O SMITH, I. - obtained 5 flamers and 2 damaged. F/O CROCK, J. & P/O SUTTON, P. - obtained 2 flamers and [...] damaged, as well as 15 German troops. S/LDR. WALMISLEY, J. - destroyed 1 truck and damaged 3. F/O GIBBON, C. - damaged 2. Another truck [...] in flames after a number of attacks was made. F/O GRAN destroyed i truck and damaged 5. F/O HALLAS severely damaged 2 buses at Q3537, and a car at Q2087. He also damaged a small railway engine with steam up, in [...] strikes all over. F/LT. IPSEN - damaged 2 5-ton trucks going south from Q075. F/O COULSON and P/O BARBOUR [...] at Q5085. WEATHER: visibility good; NIL cloud.
