Details
12 a/c airborne in a Fighter Sweep in the area PIOMBINO-SAN STAFANO-CIVITA VECCHIA. FLAK: heavy and light, moderate and accurate from PIOMBINO; some heavy, moderate and accurate in the position QE4866; also some heavy, moderate and accurate in position E.2572. In PIOMBINO harbour one 200ft. M.V. was observed in the N-S quay, also six small vessels of the barge type 50-60ft. long in the inner basin, and seven of the same type in the outer basin. In PORT SPARVIERO one two-masted schooner was observed, and two schooners in TALANONE. At the entrance of the harbour of CIVITA VECCHIA a large M.V. [?]abour 300ft. long was observed. This was a possible wreck. Two small M.V.s of 100ft. length were seen in the harbour.
