Rodeo 263. The Wing, led by Major K. Birksted, D.F.C., flying with this Squadron, crossed the enemy coast at 25,000 feet over Gravelines. The Wing swept Bergues and flew on to Dixmude where the Hornchurch wing was sighted. The Wing then swept back to Ypres and then to Hazebrouck where the Kenley wing was sighted. No e/a were seen and the Wing recrossed the French coast over Gravelines - still flying at 25,000 feet. Medium, inaccurate heavy flak was experienced from Dunkirk.
