Sgt Aksel Niels Christensen (1914–2006)

Sgt Aksel Niels Christensen served as an aircraft mechanic in the USAAF during World War Two. He was a Danish citizen at the time of enlistment, but was naturalized in the USA during the war.

Kaj Aage Gunnar Strand (1907–2000)

Kaj Aage Strand begins a distinguished academic career in Denmark before the war. He is in the United States when the war starts and volunteers for the U.S. Army in 1942. He is in service in the U.S. Army Air Force in 1942-45 and among other things involved in the test of B-29 Superfortress.

Else Petersen (1904–n/a)

Else Petersen enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) in 1942. She was one of twenty-nine Danish born WACs during the Second World War.
