Eyvind Jensen

Eyvind Jensen is born on 21 August 1908 in Nørby, Denmark. He is the son of Jens Thorvald and Georgine Jensen (née Larsen). [1]

Arrives in Halifax, NS, on 17 August 1928 destined to become farmlabourer in Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island. [2] He is naturalized in Canada on 5 June 1935 (127943 A). [3]

In Service

Eyvind Jensen enlists in Ottawa, ON, on 5 April 1941. He is posted to No. 2 Service Flying Training School for General Duties with the rank of Aircraftman 2nd Class (R.95608). He is re-mustered as Messman on 1 July 1941.

He is promoted to Aircraftman 1st Class on 5 July 1941, Leading Aircraftman on 5 October 1941, and to Acting Corporal on 23 March 1923. He is confirmed as Corporal on 1 October 1942.

On 18 October 1943 he is posted to Air Force Headquarters. He is promoted Sergeant on 1 October 1944 and retired on 21 August 1945. [4]
