Ivan Peter Hansen (NZ404172) is born in Eltham (Taranaki province), New Zealand, on 20 December 1914.
He enlists on 8 November 1940 in the Royal New Zealand Air Force as a wireless operator. On 29 April 1941 he embarks for England UK and is attached to the Royal Air Force as wireless operator (not aircrew).
In October 1943 he participates at the presentation of an ambulance to R.N.Z.A.F. in Wellington.
